Hi,

I'm Barney and Yes I am a real Dog. I'm a two year old chocolate Labrador from Wales, Great Britain. I set up this web site when I was looking for a online Birthday card to give to my best pal and brother Moe (he's a cat) and I couldn't find any free printable cards on the internet.

I Had No Money to Spend On a Card

I didn't really have any money to spend on a card; after all I am a dog, so I made a printable card. Moe loved it and I thought why not make lot's of printable cards so everyone can print them to give to their friends and family.

I love Birthdays and love giving people cards and presents and my printable cards mean giving someone something special doesn't have to cost me or my mum and dad a penny. If you want to give someone a special card, print as many cards from my web site as you like they are all free and simple to print.

I Found a Big Bonus

I set up this web site in January 2006 and very quickly found that it brought me much more than happy faces and Birthday wishes.

After only a few months online I was getting hundreds of visitors a day. I couldn't believe it; hundreds of people were downloading my cards.

I have to say I was very lucky when I picked the company who would host my web site and I owe a lot of this success to them. I searched the internet looking for a good company that would allow me to build a web site quickly and easily and also take a lot of the work out of submitting to search engines and doing the mundane everyday tasks that I didn't really want to do.

I found a company called Site Build It who catered for absolute beginners and offered exactly what I wanted, to build a web site without anything to technical. They also dealt with all the things that have to be done like submitting to search engines, getting pages ranked well; optimising the site and all the things I didn't really know that much about. Without them I am sure my site wouldn't be doing half as well as it is and I would still be struggling to get 100 visitors a day instead of having hundreds.

Anyway thanks to Site Build It my site was getting hundreds of visitors a day after only a few months. One thing that Site Build It recommends you do is put affiliate advertising on your web site to make some extra money. This is actually what the hosting program was designed for even though it wasn't what I originally built my site for. I thought it would be a good idea to place a few adverts on my web site so I could try and cover the hosting costs. After all I was offering a free service. In April I placed some Google Adsense adverts on the web site and some affiliate adverts and I couldn't believe the results.

This success has to be down to Site Build It. They helped me build a web site that would do well in the search engines and get lots of traffic and also showed me how to optimise the site so I would make money from advertising. I now make enough money in a month for my mum and dad to keep me in my favourite dog food for years. I am very Lucky!
